The first animation at the top of this page was used as a mock GPS readout of the Philadelphia PA. Center Square area. It started from Market St., around City Hall to just past JFK Plaza.

Street layout was created with the help of Google maps, converted into a jpg and imported into 3d Max. Many buildings were grabbed from Sketchup's 3d warehouse others were simple box models using reference images from the Internet. No texturing. Exported camera street animation seperately from trees & road lines. Used After Effects for effects and compositing as well as timing the animation to what was previsously shot and seen through the car front window. Sample Below.
